San Buono is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 911 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Chieti in Abruzzo . The municipality is located about 52 kilometers south-southeast of Chieti and belongs to the Comunità montana Medio Vastese .

history

The old castle complex of San Buono ( castrum Bonum ) was built in the 10th century, the actual settlement, however, only in the 15th century.
