Torrevecchia Teatina is an Italian municipality ( comune ) with 4222 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019) in the province of Chieti in Abruzzo . The municipality is located about 5 kilometers northeast of Chieti . The Alento forms the eastern municipal boundary . It is about 7.5 kilometers to the northeast to the Adriatic .

Economy and Transport

Since 2004, Torrevecchia Teatina has been the seat of the Università telematica Leonardo da Vinci , a private university that offers not only psychology, law, education but also health management. The A14 autostrada from Bologna to Taranto delimits the municipality in the northeast.
