Francavilla al Mare is located south of Pescara on the Adriatic Sea . However, Pescara and Francavilla flow into one another. The neighboring municipalities are Chieti , Miglianico , Ortona , Pescara ( PE ), Ripa Teatina , San Giovanni Teatino and Torrevecchia Teatina .
