Sarah Crowley (born February 4, 1983 in Adelaide ) is an Australian duathlete and triathlete . She is ITU world champion on the long distance triathlon (2017).

Career

Sarah Crowley became the Australian Duathlon Champion in October 2014.

At the ITU Duathlon World Championship of the International Triathlon Union (ITU) she finished eighth in 2015 in Adelaide.

Winner of the Ironman European Championships 2017

In June 2017 she won the Ironman Cairns and in July the then 34-year-old won her second Ironman race in Frankfurt am Main.

World Champion Long Distance Triathlon 2017

In August 2017, she won the ITU World Championship long-distance triathlon. In October she was third at the Ironman Hawaii (Ironman World Championships). After the swim, she was still in seventh place, 4:20 minutes behind, but she was able to work her way up on the bike and with the third fastest marathon time of the day.

In February 2018 she won the Hell of the West Triathlon for the fifth time in Australia in the middle distance (2 km swimming, 80 km cycling and 20 km running). In July she was third at Ironman Germany and at Ironman Hawaii, the then 35-year-old finished sixth as the second best Australian behind her compatriot Mirinda Carfrae (5th place).

In October 2019 she finished third at the Ironman Hawaii for the second time after 2017.
