Schwadermühle (colloquially: "Schwōdeʳmil") is a district of the Cadolzburg market in the Middle Franconian district of Fürth .

geography

The wasteland lies on the Farrnbach . The Schwadermühle industrial park borders in the north. The state road 2409 leads to Cadolzburg (1.6 km south) or to a junction of the federal road 8 near Seukendorf (1.5 km northeast). The district road FÜ 2 leads to Seckendorf (1.4 km northwest).

history

The place was in Urbar the burgrave Nuremberg , noted that originated around 1370 as "Swadermuel" was first documented. The defining word of the place name is the Middle High German word "swaderer" (= talker) and is supposed to describe the "chatty" rippling of the water.

Towards the end of the 18th century, the Schwadermühle belonged to Greimersdorf . The mill had the Brandenburg-ansbachische Box Office Cadolzburg as a landlord . Under the Prussian administration (1792-1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the Schwadermühle was given house number 12 in Greimersdorf.

As part of the municipal edict, Schwadermühle was assigned to the Steinbach tax district formed in 1808 . It belonged to the rural community Roßendorf founded in the same year .

On July 1, 1972, Roßendorf and the Schwadermühle were incorporated into Cadolzburg as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

The place has been predominantly Protestant since the Reformation. The residents of the Evangelical Lutheran denomination are parish to St. Cäcilia (Cadolzburg) , the residents of the Roman Catholic denomination are parish to St. Otto (Cadolzburg) .
