history

The place was first mentioned in the Urbar of the Burgraviate of Nuremberg , which was created around 1370, as "Steinbach". The place name is derived from an identical water body name.

At the end of the 18th century there were 22 properties in Steinbach. The high court exercised the Brandenburg-Ansbach city bailiff Langenzenn . The village and community rulership was held by the Brandenburg-Ansbach caste office in Cadolzburg . The landlords were the Kastenamt Cadolzburg (four yards, six half yards, four estates), the Deutschordenskommende Nürnberg (one estate), the state alms office of the imperial city of Nuremberg (one half yard), the lordship of Wilhermsdorf (one half yard), Nuremberg owners: von Forster (one mill ), von Holzschuher (an estate), von Oelhafen (a mill, an inn) and the Allersberg citizen von Gillardi (a farm).

As part of the municipal edict, the Steinbach tax district was formed in 1808 . The first section included the places Egersdorf , Pleikershof and Wachendorf , and the second section Gonnersdorf , Greimersdorf , Roßendorf and Schwadermühle . In the same year the rural community Steinbach was founded, which was congruent with the I. section of the tax district. The community was under administration and jurisdiction of the district court Cadolzburg and in the financial administration of the bursary Cadolzburg (in 1920 the tax office Cadolzburg renamed). In the voluntary jurisdiction, 1 property was subject to the Patrimonial Court von Förster until 1812, four properties until 1812 and from 1820 to 1848 the Patrimonial Court Buchschwabach . From 1862 Steinbach was administered by the Fürth district office (renamed the Fürth district in 1938 ). Jurisdiction remained with the Cadolzburg District Court until 1879, from 1880 to March 1, 1931 it was with the Cadolzburg District Court , since then it has been exercised by the Fürth District Court . The financial management was taken over on January 1, 1929 by the Fürth tax office . The municipality had an area of 12,538 km².

On May 1, 1978, the municipality of Steinbach was incorporated into Cadolzburg as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
