The seal of the US state Ohio was changed for the last time in 1996 for the time being.

The Ohio seal features a sheaf of wheat in a cultivated field symbolizing the state's agriculture and a bundle of 17 arrows as a reminder that Ohio became the 17th state to be admitted to the United States .

The sun rises over a stylized depiction of Mount Logan in Ross County and the Scioto River.

The design of this seal has been changed at least ten times. The current version was adopted in 1967 and modified in 1996.
