description

The Oklahoma seal consists of a five-pointed star within a circle with 45 stars on a blue background.

In the center of the large star is a blindfolded personification of Justitia holding her scales over a settler and an Indian who shake hands. Between them lies a cornucopia . This was the original seal of the Oklahoma Territory . Above it stands the Latin motto of the state:

Laboratory Omnia Vincit. "
( Work conquers everything. )

Around this central representation the seals of the five civilized nations can be found in the five points of the central star (clockwise):

  1. Symbol of the Chickasaw : armed warrior
  2. Symbol of the Cherokee : seven-pointed star in a wreath of oak leaves
  3. Symbol of the creek : wheat and plow
  4. Symbol of the Seminoles : Indians in a canoe
  5. Symbol of the Choctaw : bow and arrow

The English inscription is around the seal:

" Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma - 1907 "
( Great Seal of the State of Oklahoma - 1907 )
