Siegfried (Siegi) Ferstl (born August 19, 1967 in Kelheim ) is a former German triathlete . He is a four-time German champion in the long distance triathlon (1996, 1997, 1999 and 2001) and is included in the best list of German triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

Siegfried Ferstl has been a forestry master since 1992 .

1999 Siegi Ferst was fourth at the Duathlon World Championship in Switzerland.

He achieved his best time on the long-distance triathlon in 1999 in Kulmbach with 8:07:00 hours and has since been included in the best list of German triathletes on the Ironman distance .

In July 2008 Ferstl had an accident while kite flying in the Altmühltal . A protracted injury to the ankle that resulted from this , which was particularly noticeable while running, prompted him to withdraw an initial acceptance for the premiere of the Ironman Regensburg 2010.
