Sommerhof is part of the municipality of Windeck .

It consists of the Sommerhof farms and the Bruderhof Johannishof below . There was also a weekend house that had burned down in the meantime. The farm used to belong to Stromberg . The name arose from the name of the hallway. The Appelhof from Windeck-Herchen operates a strawberry plantation here.

Sommerhof is located north of Stromberg, west of Herchen-Bahnhof , south of Gerressen and east of Richardshohn at 201  m above sea level. NHN . It therefore still belongs to the Bergisches Land .
