Eulenbruch is a district of the municipality Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Eulenbruch is located on the slopes of the Bergisches Land in the Siegtal . Neighboring towns are Hurst in the northeast, Eich in the south and Rosbach in the northwest. The place is crossed by the federal highway 256 .

history

The first church book entries for Eulenbruch are from 1645. The village belonged to the parish of Rosbach and at times to the mayor's office Dattenfeld .

In 1830 Eulenbruch had 53 residents.

In 1845 the hamlet had 68 inhabitants in 14 houses. There were six Catholics, 58 Lutherans and four Jews . In 1863 there were 97 people. In 1888 there were 74 residents in 19 houses.

109 people lived here in 1962 and 122 in 1976.
