Hau lies on the slopes of the Bergisches Land . The place can be reached via the state road 333 . Neighboring places are Vierbuchen in the northeast, Perseifen in the southeast and Helzen in the west. The Rosbach rises near Hau .

history

The village belonged to the parish of Rosbach and at times to the mayor's office Dattenfeld .

In 1830 Hau was a farm.

In 1845 the hamlet had 13 Protestant residents in three houses. In 1863 there were eleven people. In 1888 there were 23 residents in five houses.

29 people lived here in 1962 and 51 in 1976.
