Öttershagen is a district of the municipality Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Öttershagen is located on the southern slopes of the Bergisches Land . Neighboring towns are Kohlberg in the northeast and Langenberg in the southwest.

history

The village belonged to the parish Rosbach and to the office Windeck .

In 1830 the place had 96 residents.

In 1845 the hamlet had 143 inhabitants in 25 houses, 18 Catholics and 125 Lutherans. In 1863 there were 111 people. In 1888 there were 161 residents in 34 houses.

166 people lived here in 1962 and 168 in 1976.

village life

There is an evangelical church in Öttershagen, the Church of the Resurrection . In the village there is the football club SV 1919 Öttershagen and a riding club.

Worth seeing

To the north of the village is the Silberhardt mine .
