Eich is a district of the municipality Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Eich lies on the slopes of the Bergisches Land in the Siegtal . Neighboring places are Eulenbruch in the north, Gansau in the southeast and Hundhausen in the southwest. The place is on the federal highway 256 .

history

The village belonged to the parish of Rosbach and at times to the mayor's office Dattenfeld .

In 1830, Eich was mentioned as a farm.

In 1845 the hamlet had 30 inhabitants in four houses, 16 of them Protestant and 14 Catholic. In 1863 there were 48 people. In 1888 there were 58 residents in ten houses.

In 1962 45 people lived here and in 1976 84 people.
