Gansau was a part of the municipality Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district . Today he belongs to Wiedenhof .

location

Gansau is located in the Siegaue . Neighboring towns are Eich in the north and Hausen in the southeast. The place is at the confluence of the state road 312 in the federal road 256 .

history

The village belonged to the parish of Rosbach and at times to the mayor's office Dattenfeld .

In 1830 Gansau had 21 residents.

In 1845 the hamlet had 13 Protestant residents in three houses. In 1863 there were 25 people. In 1888 there were 46 residents in seven houses.

In 1962 40 people lived here and in 1976 24 people.
