Locksiefen is a village in the municipality of Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district .

Locksiefen lies at a height of 250  m above sea level. NHN on the Leuscheid . Neighboring places are Saal in the west, Leidhecke in the southeast and Rosbach in the northeast.

history

The place Locksieffen was first mentioned in 1550.

The village belonged to the parish of Leuscheid and at times to the mayor's office of Herchen .

In 1830 the place had 56 inhabitants.

In 1845 the hamlet had 74 inhabitants in 14 houses, 51 of them Protestant and 23 Catholic. In 1888 there were 84 residents in 16 houses.

1910 there were Locksiefen 24 households: Widow Christian Bähner, factory workers Gerhard Bitzer, dealer Gerhard Bitzer, disabled Karl Bitzer, Ackerin widow Wilhelm Bitzer and Ackerer Wilhelm Bitzer, Schuster Karl Engelbert, Ackerer Friedrich Wilhelm Himmeröder, Ackerer Gerhard Himmeröder and field assistant William Himmeröder, Farmers Peter Kunz, factory workers Gerhard and Wilhelm Merten, disabled Karl Patt, farmhands Wilhelm Patt, day laborers Karl Pauly, farmhands Anton Salz, factory workers Wilhelm Salz, factory workers Peter Sandig, farmhands Wilhelm Sommer, factory workers Peter Schäfer, farmhands Wilhelm Weber, factory workers Wilhelm Willmeroth and cobbler Wilhelm Wurm.
