Mittel is a district of the municipality of Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Mittel lies on the slopes of the Bergisches Land on the Gierzhagener Bach . Neighboring towns are Bettenhagen in the north and Rommen in the southwest.

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in 1464 as Craewinkell . Krähwinkel is a synonym for remote settlements.

The village belonged to the parish of Rosbach and at times to the mayor's office Dattenfeld .

In 1830 Mittel had 29 inhabitants.

In 1845 the hamlet had 19 Protestant residents in three houses. In 1863 there were 18 people. In 1888 there were 18 residents in six houses.

39 people lived here in 1962 and 34 in 1976.
