Mauelermühle is a district of the municipality Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Mauelermühle is located on the southern bank of the Sieg . The neighboring town is Mauel in the west, the former are Presidential Bridge in the north and Poche in the east.

history

It is named after a mill from Burg Mauel . The place was first mentioned in 1582 as Mauwell .

The property belonged to the parish of Rosbach and at times to the mayor's office Dattenfeld .

In 1830 the mill was not yet listed. In 1845 the mill had an evangelical miller. In 1863 seven people lived here. In 1888 the mill had ten residents.

In 1962 and 1976 the district had four residents each.
