Bellingen is a district of the municipality of Windeck in the Rhein-Sieg district .

location

Bellingen lies on the slopes of the Bergisches Land on the border with the Altenkirchen district . To the west lies the Baierhahnhöchsten . Neighboring towns are Forst in the east, Halscheid in the south and Distelshausen in the west. Bellingen can be reached via Landesstraße 333 .

history

Bellingen was first mentioned in a document in 1555.

The village belonged to the parish of Rosbach and at times to the mayor's office Dattenfeld .

In 1830 Bellingen had 39 inhabitants.

In 1845 the hamlet had 32 inhabitants in seven houses, eight Catholic and 24 Protestant. In 1863 there were 39 people. In 1888 there were 33 residents in seven houses.

In 1962 22 people lived here and in 1976 33 people.
