Stepnohirsk

Stepnohirsk ( Ukrainian Степногірськ ; Russian Степногорск Stepnogorsk ) is an urban-type settlement in the Ukrainian Oblast of Zaporizhia with about 4,500 inhabitants (2014).

Stepnohirsk is located in the Rayon Vasylivka km 2 at the mouth of 17 kilometers Suchyj Jantschekrak ( Сухий Янчекрак ) in the kakhovka reservoir accumulated Dnepr . Vasylivka district center is 23 km south and Zaporizhia oblast center is 39 km north of Stepnohirsk. The M 18 / Europastraße 105 road runs through the village .

The village, founded in 1918, is the center of the settlement council of the same name and received urban-type settlement status in 1987. The settlement council municipality Stepnohirsk still includes the villages Lukjaniwske ( Лук'янівське ) with about 140 inhabitants and Stepowe ( Степове ) with about 110 inhabitants.
