Stukenbrock and Stukenbrock-Senne are districts of the city ​​of Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany and belong to the district of Gütersloh .

Stukenbrock and Stukenbrock-Senne are located in the Ems sand plain in the eastern Westphalian Bay , on the eastern foothills of the Münsterland, which is delimited to the east by the Teutoburg Forest . The area is drained by the tributaries of the Ems , the Senne brooks.

history

The first written mention of the Stukenbrocker Urhöfe “Brechtme” and “Gokersterteshusen” (Brechmann and Gauksterdt) dates back to 1153. Since 1531 the name “Stukenbroike” has been handed down for Stukenbrock.

On January 1, 1970 (has been from the community Stukenbrock Amt Neuhaus , Paderborn district ) and the Municipality of Schloss Holte and parts of the community broadcasting (both official Verl , Kreis Wiedenbrück ) the new municipality Schloss Holte-Stukenbrock up, initially the district Bielefeld belonged before the Gütersloh district was formed in 1973 . The furnishings include a high altar donated by Prince-Bishop Ferdinand von Fürstenberg in 1683 , two rococo side altars created in 1774 by the Paderborn court sculptor Johann Jakob Pütt , the pulpit marked 1666 , the baptismal font from 1680 , the organ case from 1696 and the sculpture of Mater Dolorosa from the year 1636.
  • Half-timbered town center . Due to the expansion of the former B68 federal road in the 1960s and 1970s, there are only a few original half-timbered houses in the town center. Exceptions are the former Gasthaus Peters (now “Tor Deele”) at Hauptstrasse 5 and the building at Hauptstrasse 16 .
  • Home houses . In the two homes at Am Pastorat 18a , two half-timbered buildings that have been completely dismantled and rebuilt at this point, there are exhibitions on the history of the Senne and rural life in the region. Civil weddings are also possible here.
Brink Chapel
  • Brink Chapel . The small half-timbered building with a turret was built around 1730. It was later expanded on both sides and is dedicated to St. Anthony of Padua. From 1983 to 1985 the chapel was restored.
Welschof farm
  • Welschof farm (Thorwesten). The former main building, the so-called Vogtei , was supposedly built in 1554. It is a four-post building with a half-hip roof .
