The Jungle Book

The Jungle Book 2 is an American cartoon from 2003. It is the sequel to the film The Jungle Book . However, the film is not based on the story collection The Second Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling . The story is about Mowgli, who makes his way into the jungle to meet up with his old friends. Although the film was originally intended to be released as a direct-to-video production, it still came out in theaters.

action

Mowgli, the foundling, lives in the settlement of the people with his adoptive parents and his new little brother Ranjan. He found a real family in them. He has also made friends with the charming girl Shanti , who lured him into the human settlement. On the other hand, there are a lot of rules and prohibitions in the village. The most important rule is that children should never go near the jungle. After a while, however, Mowgli begins to miss the jungle and especially his friend, the bear Balu .

Balu feels the same, because he also misses his friend Mowgli. Although the wise panther Baghira warns him, Baloo sneaks unnoticed into the human settlement one night against the combined strength of Colonel Hathi and his elephants and takes Mowgli back into the jungle.

Shanti believes that Mowgli has been kidnapped by a wild bear and goes on a search for Mowgli with Ranjan. Mowgli's archenemy Shir Khan also sneaks around in the jungle and wants to take revenge on the human child. There is also the snake Kaa, who hypnotizes Shanti and Ranjan wants to save her, Kaa's attempt fails thanks to Ranjan.

Shanti and Ranjan get lost in the jungle in search of Mowgli, but finally find him sitting sadly by a tree. When Balu joins them a short time later, this Shanti is frightened at first, who still considers him an enemy, so that Shanti and Ranjan run away again. Mowgli is angry with Baloo and pursues Shanti. He goes deeper and deeper into the forest and finally meets Shir Khan, but Shanti, Ranjan and Balu also join them again. Through a game of confusion in a temple, they manage to outsmart and lock Shir Khan. Eventually they return to the human settlement, but keep coming back for short visits to the jungle.
