Thomas Kornack (born April 14, 1976 in Erfurt ; † November 6, 2014 ) was a German theater , film and television actor and director .

Life

Thomas Kornack grew up in Erfurt and played in his youth at the renowned and multiple award-winning amateur theater “Die Schotte” as well as at the Erfurt Theater and the Erfurt Opera .

He studied acting at the "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" University of Music and Theater in Leipzig and successfully completed his studies with a diploma .

His first engagements took him to the Chemnitz Theater , the Graz Schauspielhaus and the Mainz State Theater . He was a co-founder of "THEATER 2011". Kornack has worked as a freelance actor since 2009 - including at the Augsburg Theater . He was active there both in acting and in musical theater . In 2013 and 2014 he was part of the ensemble of the Störtebeker Festival on Rügen. He worked with the directors Manuel Soubeyrand, Matthias Brenner , Cornelia Crombholz, Barbara Weber , Friederike Heller, Matthias Fontheim , Philip Tiedemann , Jürgen Bosse , Markus Trabusch , Þorleifur Örn Arnarsson and Tom Stromberg , among others .

In addition to his numerous theater roles, he was regularly seen in film and television productions. He last played in 2012 one of the main roles in the satellite 1 - Comedy No, Off, Ugh! A baby on a leash .

The actor lived in Leipzig . Kornack died on November 6, 2014 at the age of 38.
