The training mine Recklinghausen is located under the slag heap of coal mine Recklinghausen in Recklinghausen -Hochlarmark.

history

The dove rock from the two shafts has been since the sinking piled up of the first shaft (1869) next to the shaft II at the Wanner road. During the Second World War, shelters were created there for the miners and the residents of the triangle settlement . Over time, a dense population of trees grew on the heap. The height of the heap is rather inconspicuous next to the neighboring Hoheward heap .

Facilities

The protective devices, which had been abandoned in the meantime, were reopened in 1975, shortly before the closure of Shaft II, and driven further , a total of 1200 m long route network with various, also above-ground training and event rooms. Three different struts , three section drives and a shaft were created. The "mine" is used by RAG for training and further education purposes and as an event location or marketing instrument. Everything that is available in terms of technology in a normal mine at great depth and scattered over large areas can be trained, checked and inspected in one place without long journeys. In the training mine, machines and systems are tested individually and in conjunction with one another, and inspections by the supervisory authorities are carried out.

Training courses

In addition to miners, all professional groups represented in mining, such as electronics technicians, mechanics, utilities and disposal companies, are trained. A total of 44 mining-specific courses for skilled workers and technicians are offered.
