Víctor Balaguer (singer)
Víctor Balaguer (born April 16, 1921 in Barcelona , † April 17, 1984 ibid) was a Spanish singer of the 1960s.
Balaguer took part in Spain's first preselection for the Grand Prix Eurovision in 1961 , but was defeated by the singer Conchita Bautista with only one point. A year later he made it: he won the preselection and was allowed to represent Spain at the Grand Prix Eurovision in Luxembourg in 1962 with the title Llámame . However, he did not receive a point from the jury and came last along with Belgium , Austria and the Netherlands . He was also known as a singer of Catalan songs in Spain. He died of colon cancer in 1984.
