Constituency area
The two former constituencies Freital I and Dippoldiswalde - Freital II formed the constituency of Weißeritzkreis in 1994 with the following cities and municipalities: Altenberg , Bannewitz , Bärenburg , Bärenfels , Bärenstein , Cunnersdorf , Dippoldiswalde , Dittersdorf , Falkenhain , Frauendorf , Freital , Geising , Glashütte , Goppeln , Hartmannsdorf-Reichenau , Hausdorf , Hermsdorf , Hirschbach , Höckendorf , Kipsdorf , Kreischa , Malter , Obercarsdorf , Paulsdorf , Possendorf , Pretzschendorf , Rabenau , Reichstädt , Reinhardtsgrimma , Schellerhau , Schlottwitz , Schmiedeberg , Schönfeld and Seifersdorf . There were no changes to the 1999 state election.
The constituency structure in Saxony was changed again for the 2004 state elections . The area of the constituency Weißeritzkreis almost entirely formed the new constituency Weißeritzkreis 2 Only the city of Freital changed to the new constituency Weißeritzkreis 1 . The two-time election winner of the constituency Weißeritzkreis Andrea Hubrig now stood in the constituency Weißeritzkreis 2 for the CDU as a top candidate. This constituency and its successor, the constituency Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge 2 , was won by Hubrig, who is now again running under the name Andrea Dombois, until the 2019 state election .
