Blazon : “In blue a silver castle, with a pinned wall between two tin towers; St. Peter in a golden robe with silver hair and beard and golden nimbus growing out of the wall battlements, holding in his right hand a golden key with the beard turned upwards to the right. The towers each have two black window openings next to each other and each a tinned turret with a red pointed roof with golden knobs and a black window opening each. In the open gate opening a raised golden portcullis, underneath a silver shield with a black bar. "
Wegeleben's coat of arms was already used in a seal from 1354. It has changed somewhat in the years that have followed, but its original content has been retained. The castle and the coat of arms go back to the 11th century castle in Wegeleben and the Lord of Wegeleben. Saint Peter is the patron saint of the Church of Wegeleben.
