Wohnseß is a district of the city of Neunburg vorm Wald in the Schwandorf district in Bavaria .

Wohnseß is about seven kilometers southeast of Neunburg vorm Wald, south of the Eixendorfer reservoir and north of the Multbach.

history

The name Wohnseß (also Sonsaz, Wansaz) denotes a place of residence or resting place in the forest.

Wohnseß was first mentioned in a document in 1273. In 1326 the whole area was named Wansaz Forest, the Lud. Aerbo de Newmburg (= Neunburg) had as a fief.

On March 23, 1913, Wohnseß belonged to the Seebarn parish , consisted of one house and had four residents.

On December 31, 1990 Wohnseß had ten residents and belonged to the parish of Seebarn.
