Wilbersdorf is located on the western outskirts of Neunburg vorm Wald on the state road 2398 , which connects Neunburg vorm Wald with Bodenwöhr and Oberviechtach .

history

The name Wilbersdorf (also: Willihalmesdorf, Willeboldesdorf, Wilbaltstorf, Wilbershof, Willbesdorf, Bylberßdorf) is derived from "settlement in the village of Willihalm or Willebold". Wilbersdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1160. Heinrich Vudener from Fuhrn had acquired a farm in Wilbersdorf from the “Bertholdshofer” and from the “Thansteiner”. He sold these two farms in Wilbersdorf in 1265 to the Schwarzhofen monastery . In 1436 Osan der Schütz sold the tithing to Wilbersdorf to the church in Kulz .

On March 23, 1913, Wilbersdorf was part of the parish of Neunburg vorm Wald, consisted of three houses and had 29 residents.

On December 31, 1990, Wilbersdorf had 23 inhabitants and belonged to the parish of Neunburg vorm Wald.
