Wundsheim is about 13 kilometers northwest of Neunburg vorm Wald, about one kilometer north of state road 2151 , which connects Neunburg vorm Wald with the A 93 in Schwarzenfeld .

history

Wundsheim was first mentioned in a document in 1310 as a noble residence of the noble Wundsheimer.

On March 23, 1913, Wundsheim belonged to the parish of Kemnath bei Fuhrn , consisted of twelve houses and had 69 residents.

On December 31, 1990, Wundsheim had 84 inhabitants and belonged to the parish of Kemnath near Fuhrn.

The Franconian Way of St. James leads close to Wundsheim. The pilgrimage route marked with a white scallop shell on a blue background leads from Mitterauerbach to Glöcklhof, which is three kilometers west of Wundsheim.
