Lengfeld is a district of the town of Neunburg vorm Wald in the Schwandorf district in Bavaria .

geography

Lengfeld is located about four kilometers west of Neunburg vorm Wald at the intersection of state road 2151 and district road SAD 40.

history

Lengfeld was first mentioned in 1110 under the name Lenginvelt.

On March 23, 1913, Lengfeld was part of the parish of Neunburg vorm Wald, consisted of eleven houses and had 58 residents.

On December 31, 1990 Lengfeld had 78 inhabitants and belonged to the parish of Neunburg vorm Wald.

Culture and sights

On the houses in the village there are historical niche figures depicting the saints St. Florian and Mary with child .

On a tree on the road to Fuhrn there is a wooden wayside cross with a crowned Mater Dolorosa . The work, which dates back to the 16th century, represents a contemporary rural work.
