Kröblitz is a district of the town of Neunburg vorm Wald in the Schwandorf district in Bavaria .

geography

Kröblitz is about three kilometers northeast of Neunburg vorm Wald on the banks of the Schwarzach . The Schwarzach reaches Kröblitz after crossing the narrow Muhrntal north of the Eixendorftalsperre . Here it breaks through the granite bar that separates the tertiary basin around Rötz from the Neunburger valley basin .

history

In 1255 Georg the Prackendorfer is handed down as the lord of the Kröblitz estate. The name "Chreblitz" was mentioned in 1346.

The development of Kröblitz was connected with a hammer mentioned in 1376 on the western side of the Schwarzach. From the 16th to the 18th century, Kröblitz was a country estate . In 1739 the baroque castle Kröblitz was built on the site of the manor house . In front of the castle is a large carp pond typical of the region.

On March 23, 1913, Kröblitz was part of the parish of Neunburg vorm Wald, consisted of 26 houses and had 139 inhabitants.

On December 31, 1990 Kröblitz had 255 inhabitants.

Kröblitz Castle, located on the Schwarzachtal cycle path, was renovated in 2017 and houses an inn with a beer garden.

The geotope Druidenstein is located south of Kröblitz on a hill surrounded by a grove . It is believed that the monumental granite rocks with circular recesses and grooves represent a Celtic sacrificial site.
