Stetten is a district of the city of Neunburg vorm Wald in the Schwandorf district in Bavaria .

geography

Stetten is about six kilometers southeast of Neunburg vorm Wald, south of the Eixendorfer reservoir . The Rötzerbach flows south of Stetten and arises about 400 meters further east from the confluence of the Multbach and Hückbach rivers and flows into the Schwarzach about nine kilometers further northwest in Neunburg vorm Wald .

history

The name Stetten (also: Steten) comes from home. This name occurs 41 times in the Bavarian index of places. Stetten was first mentioned in a document in 1224. In 1283 it belonged to the ducal office of Neunburg. In 1315 King Ludwig promised his faithful Wolfram von Geigant a donation from the Gollenhof in Stetten, which was listed in the Salbuch in 1328 as the only farm in Stetten. In 1350 Stetten was mentioned with the Stettnermühle as a foundation of Heinrich von Fronberg.

On March 23, 1913, Stetten belonged to the Seebarn parish , consisted of nine houses and had 53 residents.

On December 31, 1990, Stetten had 46 residents and belonged to the parish of Seebarn.
