Xızı is a rayon in northern Azerbaijan . The capital of the district is the city of Xızı .

geography

The district has an area of ​​1711 km². The rayon is bounded by the Caspian Sea to the west and the Abşeron peninsula to the south .

population

Xızı City

In 2009, 14,700 people lived in the rayon. These are spread over 29 settlements.

economy

The region is dominated by agriculture, mainly cattle breeding. There is also a hydroelectric power station.
