Miss World 2007 will be held in the Crown of Beauty Theater, Sanya, People's Republic of China on December 1,2007[1]. At an official press conference called on July 7, the Miss World organization announced that the delegates were expected in Sanya by November 2. They will visit a number of popular spots in mainland China and view the preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games. A total of 107 nations are attending the pageant, making it the largest edition, tied with Miss World 2004.
Unlike 2005 and 2006 editions, Miss World 2007 will not have continental zones in the selection of the semi-finalists i.e. all the contestants will vie for the 15 semifinals spots. Another 5 spots are for the winners of the Beach Beauty, Beauty With A Purpose, Sports, Talent and Top Model contests. The format is also similar to that used in Miss World 2004, with the exclusion of the Contestant's Choice award.

Contestants Details

- Angola (Top 10 finalist), France, Lebanon, Russia, South Africa, and Spain competed in Miss Universe 2007 which was held in Mexico City, Mexico.
Replacements
- Albania: The Miss & Mister Albania organization replaced Egla Harxhi, Miss Albania 2007, with Elda Dushi, because of unknown reasons.
- Belarus: Miss Belarus 2006 1st runner-up, Yulia Sindzeyeva, was supposed to compete in Miss World; however, she attended the Miss International contest in Japan, where she became 2nd runner-up. A contract with the Japanese organization prevents her from attending the Miss World contest. 2nd runner-up, Alena Aladka, will take her place.
- Curaçao: Lisaika Everitz, Miss World Curaçao, was not accepted as Curaçao's entry to Miss World 2007 because of not meeting age requirements. She was replaced with Naemi Elizabeth Monte. Since Monte did not turn in the official application to the national organization before the deadline established by Miss World Ltd, the franchiseholder appointed a new delegate: Mckeyla Antoinette Richards. After this action, Naemi Monte decided to file a lawsuit against the franchiseholder, Reprod, to regain the right to represent the island at the international pageant. On October 17, a jury decided in favor of Reprod, ending the dispute between both.
- Latvia: Ina Avlasēviča, Miss Latvia 2006, will compete in Miss World 2008. The organization decided to send Kristīne Djadenko, a former Miss Latvia, to this year's pageant.
