Aliud is a small municipality ( municipio ) in the province of Soria in the east of the autonomous community of Castile and León in Spain . The town, a good 20 km southeast of the provincial capital Soria , has 20 inhabitants (January 1, 2019) (1842: 218 inhabitants, 1900: 290 inhabitants). The name comes from the Arabic ( al-yahūd , "the Jews").
The residents of Aliud became known as yéseros ("plasterers", ie plasterers). The traditional festival is the Rosary Festival . There are also festive activities on the last weekend in August. Outside of Aliud is the medieval city of Albocabe , of which only ruins remain.
