Allendorf am Hohenfels ( pronunciation ? / I ) is a district of the municipality of Dautphetal in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district in central Hesse . Audio file / audio sample

Geographical location

The village of Allendorf is located east of Dautphe , the municipal seat and geographical center of the Dautphetal community - and two kilometers south of the Lahn and the B 62 , both of which run there in a west-east direction. Closer cities are Biedenkopf in the northwest and Marburg in the east.

The first mention took place in 1307 as Aldendorf in connection with the von Buchenau. "I Heydenreich and Kryg von Buchenau brothers publicly confess in this letter to the two parts of the tithe at Allendorf, which we have as a fief of our Junker Johann Graf zu Nassau Dietz, we asked our Junker to enfeoff our cousin Eling von Breidenbach. There are only a few documents between the noble family von Hohenfels and the village of Allendorf. On the two elevations of the Hohenfels between Buchenau and Allendorf (in the Allendorf district) stood the two castles of those von Hohenfels , the ancestral seat of the Lords of Hohenfels. They were the owners of Cent Dautphe, which went far beyond the boundaries of today's municipality of Dautphe.

With effect from October 1, 1954, the name of the municipality was changed from “Allendorf b. Gladenbach "changed to" Allendorf am Hohenfels ".

Tim Vollmerhausen (BLH) has been the mayor of Allendorf since the local elections in 2016 , his deputy is Jonas Bandel (BLH) and the secretary is Christian Bösser (BLH). Together, the trio, with an average age of 22 years (as of 2016), is the youngest local advisory council in Hesse.
