The 1962/63 season of the Amateur Oberliga Niedersachsen was the 14th season of the highest Lower Saxony amateur league in football . At that time it took the second highest level in the German league system. Master of were VfL Wolfsburg . In addition to the Wolfsburgers, VfL Oldenburg and Leu Braunschweig took part in the qualification for the Regionalliga Nord , where Oldenburg and Wolfsburg were able to prevail.

The relegation places were taken in the west by Rot-Weiß Damme and Victoria Oldenburg and in the east by Goslarer SC 08 and Borussia Hannover . In return, the amateurs of SV Arminia Hannover , Sportfreunde Lebenstedt in the East group and Wilhelmshaven 05 and Germania Papenburg in the West group rose from the Lower Saxony amateur league . The VfB Peine joined the 1963-64 season in the eastern group.

With the introduction of the Bundesliga , the Lower Saxony amateur league was only in third class in the 1963/64 season.

    Lower Saxony Championship

    The two relay winners determined in -and-away the Niedersachsen champion. The game was played on April 20 and 27, 1963. VfL Wolfsburg prevailed and secured the Lower Saxony championship. The Wolfsburg team qualified for the 1963 German amateur championship thanks to their placement in the qualification for the Regionalliga Nord .

    Qualification for the qualifying round for the Regionalliga Nord

    The two runners determined in return match the third Lower Saxony participants in the qualifying Regional Nord . Since the amateurs of VfL Osnabrück were runner-up in Season West and this team was not allowed to qualify for the Regional League, the third-placed club TuS Celle moved up. The game was played on April 28 and May 1, 1963. Leu Braunschweig prevailed and took part in the promotion round.

    The TV Bohmte participated as a participant in the Amateur League 8 participate in the promotion round, although still the playoffs against the teams of Germania Papenburg and Alemannia Salzbergen were unsubscribe. Bohmte won the promotion round, but Germania Papenburg won the playoff round in the amateur league 8. The Lower Saxony Association then declared Germania Papenburg to be promoted, although the team did not take part in the promotion round.
