Band history

The band members Basty, Mikel, Javi and Ony were signed in 2005 by the record label Jamm Records , which they marketed in January 2006 under the name Nash as a boy band based on the US and British models. In January 2006, the first single Capaz de todo was recorded, which could place in the Spanish top 100 charts, called Promusicae. On March 3, 2006, the album of the same name followed, which sold almost 20,000 copies and climbed to number 23 in the Spanish album charts. In June 2006 the second single ¿Dónde Estás? , a ballad. In autumn 2006 they released their first album as a re-edition with the two new songs ¿Qué Sabes del Amor? and Más Allá de las Estrellas , a Christmas carol. This was accompanied by the release of a DVD with video clips, which was also released in the neighboring Spanish countries of Portugal and Andorra .

In the spring of 2007, Nash took part in the Eurovisión Mission , the Spanish preliminary decision for the 52nd Eurovision Song Contest in Helsinki , Finland , which lasted several weeks . After various selection rounds, the band reached the semifinals of the competition organized by the Spanish television broadcaster TVE , where they interpreted five songs together with four competitors. The best six combinations came to a so-called super-final, in which Nash won the preliminary round on February 24th with the Spanish-English uptempo number I Love You Mi Vida by the Swedish-Spanish composer and songwriter Antonio Sánchez-Ohlsson, Rebeca Pous del Toro and Thomas G: son could decide for themselves.

In March 2007 the group changed its name to D'Nash after problems with registering the brand name. The formation under contract with the record label Sony BMG , which uses the genres of pop , R&B and dance , completed concerts in Llanes , Pilar de la Horadada and Palma before the ESC final on May 12th . At the international betting offices, D'Nash was counted among the wider circle of favorites, but when Serbian Marija Šerifović won , like most participants from Western Europe, she did not go beyond 20th place.
