Březovice (German Zolldorf ) is a municipality with 287 inhabitants in the Czech Republic . It is located six kilometers southwest of the town of Bělá pod Bezdězem and belongs to the Okres Mladá Boleslav .
geography
The village is 329 m above sea level. M. on a plateau between the dry ridge on the upper reaches of the Strenický potok and the Valdštejnský les (Waldsteiner Forest). Neighboring towns are Víska in the west, Valdštejnsko in the northeast, Březinka pod Bezdězem in the east and Valovice in the southeast.
history
Březovice was first mentioned in a document on September 2, 1348 in a list by Charles IV .
In the municipality to which large parts of the Waldsteiner Forest belonged, the Bösig railway station was built in the forest on the Böhmisch Leipa - Bakow railway line of the Bohemian Northern Railway, which was inaugurated in 1867 . Březovice also included Waldsteinruhe 2nd share , which was reclassified together with the train station in the middle of the 20th century to glue pits (Hlínoviště).
Březovice has been independent again since 1991; previously it was incorporated into Bělá pod Bezdězem. A large number of culturally and historically valuable buildings have been preserved in the village. Březovice was declared a monumental area of folk architecture in 1995 .

The municipality Březovice consists of the districts Březovice ( Zolldorf ) and Víska ( Wiska ), which also form cadastral districts.
