Boreč (German Boretsch ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located twelve kilometers west of Mladá Boleslav and belongs to the Okres Mladá Boleslav .
geography
Boreč is located southeast of the Daubaer Schweiz in the Central Bohemian Table Country at the end of a left side ridge of the Košátecký creek . Characteristic for the area are unwooded plateaus, through which deep tree-covered valleys furrow to the southeast.
Neighboring towns are Kluky in the north, Skalsko in the northeast, Kovanec and Horní Cetno in the east, Doubravička in the southeast, Malé Všelisy and Velké Všelisy in the south, Syslov, Zamachy and Kadlín in the southwest, Ledce and Žebice in the west and Vrátno in the northwest.
history
Boreč was first mentioned in documents in 1385 when the estate of the late owner Slavibor von Slivno was settled. Around 1404 the lords of Kováň acquired the village and in 1505 it was attached to the Košátky manor . In 1548 Ferdinand I bought the property. In 1615 Boreč was attached to the Bezno rule .
In 1694 the captain of the Bunzlau district, Johann Rudolf Záruba von Hustiřan, bought the goods. After the abolition of patrimonial Boreč became an independent municipality in 1850. Until 1950 the village belonged to Okres Mnichovo Hradiště, then until 1961 to Okres Doksy and since then to Okres Mladá Boleslav.

The municipality of Boreč consists of the districts Boreč ( Boretsch ) and Žebice ( Schebitsch ).
