Bítouchov (German Bitouchow ) is a municipality with 289 inhabitants (January 1, 2004) in Středočeský kraj . The place is 281 m above sea level. M. on a wooded plain, 12 kilometers north of the district town of Mladá Boleslav .
history
The first mentions come from the 12th century. At that time it was common for places to be named after the founders. So the "Bitúchův Dvůr" later became "Bítúchov" and in modern times first "Bytouchov", then "Bítouchov".
In the 16th century Bítouchov had 13, the neighboring village Dolánky 7 settlement sites. Both places belonged to the domain of the Zvířetice Castle . At the instigation of the local lords of Wartenberg , German settlers settled in Bítouchov, as in some of the other villages under the rule.
After the abolition of patrimonial rule in 1848, the places of the original judicial district remained united. In addition to Bítouchov and Dolánky, Nová Ves , Bradlec , Zvířetice, Dalešice and Chudoplesy also belonged to the local association. Bítouchov has been an independent municipality since 1890. The settlements Dolánky and parts of Velký and Malý Rečkov are assigned to it.
