history

The Loukov area was first settled around 1200. In 1225 the local court belonged to the Johanniter- Comende in Český Dub . Later it passed to the Cistercian monastery in Mnichovo Hradiště and fell to the Bohemian Crown during the Hussite Wars . In 1436 King Sigismund gave the place to Bohuš z Kováně, lord of the Frýdštejn Castle . After his death, Hynek von Waldstein received it as a pledge. Since 1528 in the possession of the Lords of Wartenberg , Loukov became one of the 64 villages of the Svijany dominion , whose fate the village shared from then on. So it came from the Wartenbergers to Joachim Andreas von Schlick and after his execution to Albrecht von Waldstein and his descendants, who sold it to Prince Charles Alain de Rohan in 1820 . After the abolition of patrimonial Loukov belonged from 1850 to the judicial district Mnichovo Hradiště in the political district of Mladá Boleslav.

There has been a bridge over the Jizera in Loukov since 1813. A sugar boiler was built in the Dařenice farm on the right bank of the river in 1870. In 1906 a textile factory was built on the site. In 1945 there were still around 480 people living in Loukov, most of whom found their livelihood in agriculture.
