Dolní Krupá (German Nieder Krupai ) is a municipality with 178 inhabitants in Okres Mladá Boleslav , Czech Republic . It is located directly on the southern edge of the former Ralsko military training area .
geography
The street village is on the road No. 268 from Mnichovo Hradiště to Mimoň . It is surrounded on three sides by extensive forests, most of which have belonged to the town of Ralsko since the military training area was closed. In the northeast, the land registry area borders on the municipality of Rokytá . The Rokytka brook rises in the local area and flows into the Bělá, a tributary of the Jizera , at Nová Ves .
history
Dolní Krupá was first mentioned in 1229 under the name "Chrupi". The church dedicated to St. Wenceslaus was built in the 13th century . It initially belonged to the Bezděz Castle until the Prague Bishop Tobias confirmed it as an independent parish in 1293. The place itself passed into the possession of the Cistercian monastery Hradiště in the 14th century . After its destruction in the Hussite Wars , the parish dissolved and the village fell to the Lords of Kuřívody . The independent parish was not renewed until 1767. It continued until 1946.
In 1775 the place Krupá had 23 house numbers. Since 1766 there have been two districts. Both were on the German side of the language border: Of the 437 residents who were resident in Dolní Krupá in 1930, 346 described themselves as German. After the Munich Agreement , Nieder Krupai was added to the German Reich in 1938 and was assigned to the Deutsch Gabel district until 1945 . While Dolní Krupá remained as a village even after the expulsion of the German residents and forms the current municipality, Horní Krupá was destroyed after the Second World War when the military training area was built.
