Žďár (German Schdiar ) is a municipality with 1207 inhabitants in the Czech Republic. It is located 239 m above sea level. M. and belongs to the Okres Mladá Boleslav .
geography
The place, first mentioned in 1403, is located seven kilometers southwest of Turnov in the wide valley of the Žehrovka river on the northern edge of the Bohemian Paradise . South of the district of Příhrazy is the rock labyrinth of the Příhrazské skály ( Pschichras rocks ) with the ruins of the Hynšta castle.
Neighboring towns are Všeň in the northeast, Doubrava in the northeast and Březina in the west. To the west, Žďár is affected by the European route 65 , the place is on the railway from Turnov to Mnichovo Hradiště .
