Career
Boyer was best known as the designer and builder of Matra racing cars in the 1960s and 1970s. Before this job he was also active as a racing driver. Successful Formula 1 racing cars such as the MS10 , the Matra MS80 , with which Jackie Stewart won the Formula 1 World Championship in 1969 , and the last Formula 1 racing car from Matra, the MS120 , were created on his drawing board . The Matra MS650 and its successors, MS660 , MS670 and MS680 , were also designed by Boyer.
