Brzozowska Góra ( German  Brosowkenberg , 1938-1945 Birkenstein ) is a village and also the name of a mountain in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship within the rural community of Budry (Buddern) in the powiat Węgorzewski ( Angerburg district ).

Geographical location

The small town of Brzozowska Góra is located in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , nine kilometers northeast of the district town of Węgorzewo (Angerburg) .

To the west of the village is the 177 meter high mountain of the same name.

history

The up to the November 7, 1835 dismantling Specovius and then to 1938 Brosowkenberg called small village consisted of a commodity that as a residential place of the municipality until 1945 Brosowken (1938-1945 Birkenhöhe, Polish brzozówko ) was that the district Angerburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen the Prussian Province of East Prussia belonged. Brosowkenberg was parish in the Evangelical Church of Buddern in the church province of East Prussia of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd Angerburg in the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Brzozowska Góra is part of the Catholic parish Budry in the diocese of Ełk (Lyck) of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland and the Protestant parish Węgorzewo (Angerburg) , a branch of the parish in Giżycko (Lötzen) in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .
