Brzozowska Góra ( German  Brosowkenberg , 1938-1945 Birkenstein ) is a village and also the name of a mountain in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship within the rural community of Budry (Buddern) in the powiat Węgorzewski ( Angerburg district ).

Geographical location

The small town of Brzozowska Góra is located in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , nine kilometers northeast of the district town of Węgorzewo (Angerburg) .

To the west of the village is the 177 meter high mountain of the same name.

history

Brosowkenberg was parish in the Evangelical Church of Buddern in the church province of East Prussia of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd Angerburg in the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Brzozowska Góra is part of the Catholic parish Budry in the diocese of Ełk (Lyck) of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland and the Protestant parish Węgorzewo (Angerburg) , a branch of the parish in Giżycko (Lötzen) in the diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical Augsburg Church in Poland .
