Droglewo ( German  Karlshof ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the rural community Budry (Buddern) in the powiat Węgorzewski ( Angerburg district ).

Geographical location

Droglewo is located in the northeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , seven kilometers northeast of the district town of Węgorzewo (Angerburg) .

history

The until 1945 Karlshof called small Gutsort was a residential place in the rural community Wenzken ( Polish Wiecki ) and belonged to the circle Angerburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen the Prussian province of East Prussia .

As a result of the war, the place came to Poland in 1945 along with all of southern East Prussia and has since been called Droglewo . Today it is integrated into the Schulzenamt ( Polish Sołectwo ) Więcki and represents a place in the community of Budry in the powiat Węgorzewski , until 1998 the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it belongs to the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship .

Religions

Before 1945 Karlshof was parish in the Evangelical Church of Buddern in the church province of East Prussia of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Catholic Church of the Good Shepherd in Angerburg in the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Droglewo belongs to the Catholic parish in Budry in the Diocese of Ełk (Lyck) of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland and to the Protestant parish in Węgorzewo (Angerburg) , a subsidiary of the parish in Giżycko (Lötzen) in the Diocese of Masuria of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

traffic

Droglewo is conveniently located on the Polish voivodship road DW 650 , the former German Reichsstraße 136 . It connects the two district towns of Węgorzewo (Angerburg) and Gołdap (Goldap) . A side road ends in Droglewo that leads from the southeastern village of Wola (Freyhof) here. There is no train connection.
