Długi Kąt [ ˈdwuɡʲi ˈkɔnt ] ( German Klarheim , until 1903 Dlugikont ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the Gmina Biała Piska ( town and country municipality Bialla , 1938–1945 Gehlenburg ) in the powiat Piski ( Johannisburg district ) heard.
Geographical location
The hamlet ( Polish Osada ) Długi Kąt is located in the southeast of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, 18 kilometers southeast of the district town of Pisz ( German Johannisburg ).
history
The once large estate Dlugikont was probably founded like the neighboring towns in the time of the order .
In 1874 the manor Dlugikont was incorporated into the newly established district of Morgen .
On November 30, 1903, Dlugikont was renamed Klarheim .
In 1910 the small manor village had 87 inhabitants. On September 30, 1928, the village finally gave up its independence and was incorporated into the neighboring community of Mykutten (1938–1945 Mikutten , today in Polish Mikuty ).
In war-induced Clear Home 1945 came with the entire southern East Prussia to Poland and received the Polish form of the name in recourse to the historical name Długi Kąt . Today it belongs to the association of the urban and rural municipality Biała Piska in the Powiat Piski , until 1998 of the Suwałki Voivodeship , since then it belongs to the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship .
Religions
Before 1945 Dlugikont was parish in the Evangelical Church Kumilsko (1938-1945 Morgen , Polish Kumielsk ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Evangelical Church of the Old Prussian Union and in the Roman Catholic Church Johannisburg (Polish Pisz ) in the Diocese of Warmia .
Today, the Protestant residents of Długi Kąts orient themselves towards the parish in Biała Piska in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland . On the Catholic side, the place now belongs to the parish of Kumielsk in the Diocese of Ełk of the Roman Catholic Church in Poland .

Długi Kąt can be reached from Kowalewo (Kowalewen , 1938–1945 Richtwalde) on a land route. In addition, a side street leads from Szkody (Skodden , 1938–1945 Schoden) into the village.
