Kożuchowski Młyn ( German  Wassermühle Kosuchen , also: Mühle Kosuchen , 1938 to 1945 Mühle Kölmerfelde ) is a small town in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship , which belongs to the Gmina Biała Piska ( town and country municipality Bialla , 1938 to 1945 Gehlenburg ) in the powiat Piski (District of Johannisburg ) belongs.

Kożuchowski Młyn is located in the south-east of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, 21 kilometers east of the district town of Pisz ( German  Johannisburg ).

history

There are hardly any documents about the history of the hamlet ( Osada in Polish ) - apart from the information that in 1905 it belonged to the rural community of Kosuchen ( Kożuchy in Polish ) with its one house and four inhabitants . It seems certain that the place was called Wassermühle Kosuchen or Mühle Kosuchen until 1938 and then Mühle Kölmerfelde until 1945 - based on the neighboring town of Kożuchy , to which it was related. Until 1945 the small town was thus the circle Johannesburg in Administrative district Gumbinnen (1905: Administrative district Allenstein ) in the Prussian province of East Prussia belong.

As a result of the war, the village came to Poland in 1945 along with all of southern East Prussia and received the Polish form of the name "Kożuchowski Młyn".
